The Eco Youth Science and Technology Award of ESC was established in 2006. It is one of the earliest academic awards established by ESC, with an aim to develop intellectual resources, cultivate ecological science talents, encourage the vast number of young ecological science and technology personnel in China, and promote the development of ecological science in China.

Candidate Qualifications

The award is set up for members of ESC. Candidates must not exceed 40 years of age and should meet one of the following conditions:

1. Science and technology personnel who have the courage to innovate and make important contributions in the scientific and technological practice of Eco-Environmental protection, and have achieved greater ecological, economic, or social benefits.

2. Those who have made outstanding achievements in the dissemination of ecological knowledge and the promotion of new technologies, and has achieved good social or economic benefits.

Award cycle

This award is issued every two years, the number of people awarded does not exceed 10.

Selection method

The “Recommendation System” is adopted for the application of the Young Science and Technology Award of ESC. For details, please refer to the Regulations of ESC for the Young Science and Technology Award.

Publicity & announcement

Award winners will be selected by the Standing Council of ESC and be awarded a certificate. The award ceremony will be held at the current Chinese Ecological Conference.
